About the Organisers :

The Amikus Qriae (TAQ) is a leading legal platform established by eminent legal professionals and academicians from across India and beyond. Dedicated to academic excellence and legal empowerment, TAQ focuses on making legal knowledge accessible and fostering an in-depth understanding of various legal disciplines. It is registered under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, and with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. As the 8th largest legal website in India, TAQ has a thriving community of over 20,000 law students from 80+ reputed law schools, aiming to nurture the next generation of legal professionals through research, education, and intellectual engagement.

About the Competition :

The 5th Annual Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2026 (TAQAVMC, 2026) organized by The Amikus Qriae, is a prestigious annual event designed to enhance advocacy skills among budding law students. It invites participation from reputed law universities and colleges across India and features multiple rounds including preliminaries, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final round. This year, the moot proposition is centered on Information Technology, Data Privacy, Criminal Law and Constitutional Law, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in highly relevant and contemporary legal debates. By combining rigorous written memorial preparation with dynamic oral advocacy, the competition serves as a platform for future legal professionals to demonstrate their research, analytical, and argumentative skills in a competitive and professional environment.

How to Register :

Every team must register for the moot competition using the link given below on or before 6th September 2026.

Details Required :

While registering, teams must provide the following information:

  1. Full Name of the participants
  2. Email ID
  3. Contact Number
  4. College/Institution Name
  5. Course (e.g., B.A. LL.B./LL.B.)
  6. Semester

Note: Once submitted, the roles of Speaker 1, Speaker 2, and Researcher cannot be interchanged.

Teams are not required to submit any letter of approval from their institution or Moot Court Society unless registering in absence of an ERP/ID card.

DEADLINES / IMPORTANT DATES :

15 July, 2026 – Release of Proposition

7 September, 2026 – Last Date to Seek Clarifications

8 September, 2026– Release of Clarifications

6 September, 2026 – Last Date of Registration

8 September, 2026 – Team Code Allocation

9 September, 2026 – Last Date of Memorial Submission

11 September,  2026 – Inaugural Ceremony & Researchers Test

12 September, 2026 – Prelims 1 & 2

13 September,  2026 – Quarter Finals and Semi Finals

14 September,  2026 – Final Round and Valedictory Ceremony

Prizes :

No team leaves empty-handed! Every participating team will be rewarded with assured Virtual Internship opportunities and Free Publication opportunities, providing a platform to gain experience, showcase talent, and achieve recognition irrespective of their rank.

  1. The Winning Team shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 12000/-. along with Internship Opportunities with Chambers of Abhinav Mishra – Advocates and Solicitors, Delhi (paid) and free publication opportunity in a reputed law journal/law book. They shall also be awarded with a one-year subscription to a leading legal research platform and access to free courses by our knowledge/supporting partners.
  2. The Runner – Up Team shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 10000/- along with Internship Opportunities with Chambers of Abhinav Mishra – Advocates and Solicitors, Delhi (paid) and free publication opportunity in a reputed law journal/law book. They shall also be awarded with a six-month subscription to a leading legal research platform and access to free courses by our knowledge/supporting partners.
  3. The Second Runner – Up Team shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 2000/- along with a complimentary book publication/law journal opportunity in a reputed law journal/law book, and access to discounted courses by our partners.
  4. The Third Runner – Up shall be awarded with complimentary book publication/law journal opportunity in a reputed law journal/law book, and access to discounted courses by our partners.
  5. The Best Memorial shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 2000/- along with a complimentary book/journal publication opportunity and a six-month subscription to a leading legal research platform.
  6. The Best Speaker shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 2000/- along with a complimentary book/journal publication opportunity and a six-month subscription to a leading legal research platform.
  7. The Best Researcher shall be awarded with a prize money of INR 2000/-, along with prestigious internship opportunity and a complimentary publication opportunity in a reputed law journal/book publication and a six-month subscription to a leading legal research platform.
  8. The Semi-finalists shall be awarded complimentary publication opportunity in reputed law journals/book publications, along with access to discounted courses offered by our partners.
  9. The Top 8 teams that would qualify for quarter final rounds shall be awarded internship opportunities with reputed legal organizations, along with discounted publication opportunities in a reputed law journal/book publication.
